Pulp with KID BRUNSWICK

Artist Breakdown:

Name: KID BRUNSWICK

Genre: Alternative with punk influence

Spotlight Single: 4 am

KID BRUNSWICK is a London based alternative musician who broke into the scene last year with his song, FXCK YOU CAUSE YOU WERE THE ONE, a collaboration piece with Eyelar. Earlier this year, Harry signed to Island Records and has released two singles since. His latest single 4AM, however, has brought the singerʻs quickly growing audience a glimpse at what is to come.

Last week, the KB team released a music video for 4AM. The video opens with Harry laying a rock beach and slowly coming up in reverse as he “walked away”. The video cuts from scene to scene of Harry singing in flashes of green, purple, and blue lighting and smoking in reverse capturing the organized yet scattered thoughts of the song. The way the black and white filter encompasses the emotions of him reminiscing of the girl he misses and cares for is indescribable—it places the viewer immediately in the correct mindset for the sorrowful track.

Earlier this month, Juiced! participated in a 4AM release party with KID BRUNSWICK, his zine team, and hosted by Blake McLain. The event featured an early listen and break down of the track, 4AM, and a read-through of his soon-to-be print zine! The zine showed Harry at his core including family photos, his musical inspirations, and the creation of KID BRUNSWICK. After he answered questions from the viewers and offered solid mental health advice; “Make your fucking bed.”

The singerʻs thoughtful answers and genuine personality showed through every minute of the event and even more in my interview with him, which you can read in issue 2! See you there in December ;)
