At Home with Still Woozy

Psychedelic-pop musician, Still Woozy, has led the bedroom pop movement for the last year with fluid beats and personal videos all featuring his friends! Sven blends pop, electronic, psychedelic, and dreamy vocals to produce his ever-evolving sound. His music sets the mood for a lazy summer afternoon with your buds, liquid or flesh.

Last week Juiced! Magazine participated in a press conference with the Oakland-based musician.

So, what is a press conference during COVID like? Well it went something like this:

When the conference started, we got to preview his end of summer track, BS. Its electronic opening brings a spark of nostalgia to those who played hand-held games as a child. This heartfelt track spins the listener into a romantic dream, longing to lie with your loved one “all day.” The song reflects on Sven’s want to be the best person possible for the loved ones in his life. The music video brings you in and out of various surroundings as Sven rides on a bike, a dirt-bike, and a horse. Lush greenery is shown throughout the video and complements every outfit. This track offers a place of comfort for those in a challenging mental state yearning to be more for those around them.

Later in the call, moderators called on outlets who began asking Sven everything from mental health to what are you listening to now?

What is the significance of purple and flowers seen in his music videos?

I hadn’t really thought about it. Purple is one of my favorite colors. I think it’s just part of my wardrobe. I don’t really go out shopping for music videos, so what I have ends up being purple most of the time. But, flowers, I don’t know. I think flowers are just gorgeous. I just think they are fun. It’s always so nice having them around!

Everything was so well organized and helped keep up a friendly and fun environment! Sven was able to give thoughtful answers to questions in real time.
